Why is it Unique?
All resistively heated
furnaces require time to heat, fundamentally limiting the heating rate of a
sample. The fast furnace inserts a sample into an already hot furnace,
achieving the maximum possible heating rate. Only radiant furnaces or
combustion furnaces can offer competitive heating rates.
