There is no competing air furnace that reaches temperatures above 2000^oC.  

This furnace is inexpensive.  The supporting equipment is part of the offered system - no expensive power supply or optical temperature sensor.  It is also inexpensive to repair.

Minimal Utility Requirements - This furnace uses low power, standard voltages, and minimal water cooling. 

This furnace has no fragile radiation shielding to maintain.
